Harley Andrews joined FINALLY's burgeoning Marketing department in September 2017. Here, she shares her first impressions of our Canterbury-based agency and how she plans to make a difference.
What is your role at FINALLY?
I moved to FINALLY as the Senior Digital Marketing Manager in early September. Having worked at a large automotive marketing agency for the last 2 years, it was certainly a big change moving to FINALLY - but so far, definitely a change for the better.
What were your first impressions?
FINALLY initially caught my eye when I saw the broad range of marketing areas that they worked across. Keen to begin a new venture in digital marketing, I took the leap and contacted Steve. I was eager to become one of the FINALLY team once coming into the office for my interview. Upon arriving I was warmly welcomed by Jazz (the office dog) along with a number of other friendly faces. Some were working hard on projects at their desk, others were laughing and joking, playing on the pool table. Immediately I noticed the warm and welcoming environment and wanted to be part of it.
How has your first couple of weeks been?
As a new addition to the FINALLY team, the last two weeks have been a whirlwind initiation of all things marketing. From social media to email marketing, I’ve been immersed in all that FINALLY does so very well for their clients. It’s been great to share ideas and identify new opportunities together, based upon both my own and FINALLY’s experiences within the digital marketing industry.
What is your background?
After fleeing the nest to move to university back in 2012, I graduated later in 2015 with a first class honours in Business Management and Marketing. My third year was mostly made up of practical marketing modules, and this is where I realised my passion for marketing. In my most recent position, I worked as a Senior Digital Marketing Account Executive, joint-managing a team of 13 as well as looking after 8 client accounts.
What are the key skills and experience you bring to FINALLY?
I have developed a strong foundation in planning and executing digital marketing strategies, specific to client objectives and goals. This includes creating bespoke campaigns through SEO, social media, email marketing and many other channels. My working day was extremely fast-paced, but I learned so much about digital marketing along the way.
What are FINALLY’s strengths?
FINALLY represent an agency that truly cares about their clients and their employees. We have a great team full of experts in their field and this is evident from the national and international awards that the company has received. Covering a range of activities from SEO and PPC, to design and development, there isn't a task that FINALLY can't conquer. Every day that I work here I feel like I am learning something new and I am excited to grow and succeed with FINALLY over the coming years.
So how are you going to make a difference?
With a background in marketing planning and strategy, I am bringing a fresh a pair of eyes to the business, enabling me to review both existing and prospect clients from a different perspective. I am looking forward to working collaboratively with our clients to identifying their goals and objectives and creating bespoke campaigns based around these.
With experience marketing for both small to medium-sized businesses, and larger corporate organisations, I strive to identify new advertising opportunities for our clients here at FINALLY who are looking to increase their presence online via channels such as PPC, social media and retargeting.
